Goldberg's appearance was certainly one of the biggest surprises on the red brand this week. The Miz and Dolph Ziggler had a contract signing as they were scheduled to face each other at SummerSlam. Shawn Michaels, who recently had heat with Ziggler, was also part of the segment.

Though Ziggler signed the contract, The Miz didn't sign it. The A-Lister revealed that the Show-off will face a different opponent at the Biggest Party of the Summer. While people speculated it to be the Heart Break Kid, he dismissed the speculation, and then Goldberg came out and the match was made official for SummerSlam.
Since Super ShowDown, this was Goldberg's first appearance and he will make his in-ring return this Sunday. Following a disastrous match in Saudi Arabia, the WCW legend will be aiming to prove his critics wrong in Toronto. Ziggler lost to Kevin Owens within seventeen seconds at Extreme Rules, hence, it will be interesting to see if it will be a squash match on Sunday.
