Ronda Rousey defeated Nikki Bella at Evolution

This match had a great build up. Both of the Superstars delivered personal insults to each other. Rousey attacked Bella's relationship with John Cena and diminished all of Bella's personal successes by saying that it was only because of John Cena and not her talent that she was successful in this business while Nikki Bella targeted Rousey's mother and made the claim that she was ashamed of her, and even went as far as to dedicate the match to her.

The match was a decent one and both of the Superstars delivered their best. This match could be called as a match between 'The Divas Era' and 'The Evolution Era'. In the end, Rousey ended 'The Divas Era' with an armbar; but, she didn't bury it. Bella held her own head high, showing that the Divas could stand toe to toe with the very best this present era has to offer.

The match only looked lacklustre because it took place just after the match between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch which is a potential candidate for the match of the year. This match confirmed that Rousey will be the face of Raw in the upcoming weeks.
