The WWE Elimination Chamber PPV has now come and gone. There wasn't much hype for the event but the matches still delivered.
Sasha Banks and Bayley won the inaugural RAW Women's tag-team championship inside the Chamber by last eliminating Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville in a very enjoyable match, while The Uso brothers won the SmackDown tag-team championship by defeating The Miz and Shane McMahon in a very surprising outcome.
The main event of the pay-per-view was the WWE Championship match which was won by Daniel Bryan who retained his title by last eliminating Kofi Kingston. Kingston put up the fight of his life, but couldn't overcome the bearded man.
Now the most important question coming out of the show is what the WWE could be planning for this upcoming episode of SmackDown Live?
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Here are the three biggest things WWE could be planning for SmackDown Live.
#3 Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair is made for Fastlane
Becky Lynch won the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble match and challenged Ronda Rousey for the Raw women's championship. In the following weeks, Lynch was told to get a medical clearance from the WWE's doctors, but she refused to get any medical attention.
Stephanie McMahon suspended Lynch for disdaining her orders and got a punch on the face for her troubles. On the next episode of SmackDown, Becky Lynch gave the same treatment to Triple H and walked away with a grin on her face.
Next week on Raw, a case was made by the power couple that if Becky Lynch apologizes to them, the match against Rousey still takes place.
Lynch apologized but was interrupted by Vince McMahon. The boss suspended Becky Lynch for 60 days for thinking she's above the World Wrestling Entertainment and named Charlotte Flair as the woman who will challenge Ronda Rousey for the title at WrestleMania.
A livid Lynch then proceeded to beat down Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey at the Elimination Chamber PPV.
No matter how hard the McMahon family tries, they can't stop Becky from taking what's her's in the first place. It will only be fitting to let Becky defend her title shot against Charlotte Flair at Fastlane, and whoever wins goes on to face Ronda Rousey at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
#2 Seeds are planted for The Miz's heel turn
After a month of begging for Shane McMahon to be his tag-team partner, The Miz and Shane McMahon finally became partners and won the SmackDown tag-team titles at the 2019 Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
The Usos then challenged them for the championship and a match was made for the Elimination Chamber event. Due to the lack of chemistry between Miz and Shane, The Usos regained the tag-team gold.
Backstage, The Miz vented frustrations to McMahon about how he failed his father and his wife. The reaction on Miz's face tells us that he might be going back to the dark side very soon and I think the villainous side suits The Miz much more.
After all, the rumored match for WrestleMania 35 is The Miz vs Shane Mcmahon, and we will have to wait and watch if the seeds are planted on SmackDown Live.
#1 Kofi Kingston earns an opportunity for the WWE Title match at WrestleMania
What a week it was for Kofi Kingston. He legit stole the show at the Elimination Chamber PPV after giving everything four days prior on SmackDown Live.
Although Kingston came up a bit short of winning the WWE Championship, he proved to the WWE management that he belongs in the main event scene. He was the most over superstar in the chamber match with every person in the venue getting behind him.
Kofi Kingston is a guy that has done it all in the WWE except for winning the WWE Championship gold. Last night it looked like that dream might be coming true for the African born superstar.
Giving him an opportunity and cashing in on his decade long story could be the most news-worthy thing the WWE has done in a decade.
Kingston challenging Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship and winning it at WrestleMania will give them the chance to tell a story of Kingston waiting eleven years to finally get his hands on the world title.
