#2 Lacey Evans attacks Asuka to set up a match at WrestleMania
In what shouldn't come as a surprise, Asuka successfully defended her SmackDown Women's championship at Fastlane against Mandy Rose. While Rose may be a fan favourite because of how she looks, she doesn't stand a chance in the ring against someone like Asuka, and that was clearly evident at last night's PPV.
With how Asuka has been booked so far since arriving on the main roster, there aren't many women left on Smackdown Live who can match up to her. WWE needs someone they can rely on to carry the Smackdown women's division for a long time to come. So which Superstar should they push heading into the Grandest Stage of Them All? Enter Lacey Evans.
There are certain rumours swirling around that the WWE is gearing up to position Lacey Evans as one of the top female talents, and with the blue brand losing their two top performers to Raw, Lacey Evans could be what SmackDown needs right now.
She has the presence that only a few superstars had in the long history of professional wrestling, and to top it all, she was a former member of the Special Reaction Team of the US Marines. That gives Vince McMahon, another reason to push her as a legit badass that she is.
Beating Asuka at WrestleMania in a convincing fashion could be the first big step in positioning her as one of the top female Superstars in the company alongside Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
