WWE has been smashing all the rumors surrounding the status of its employees for the past four weeks. One Superstar who is constantly rumored to leave the company is Rusev. We haven't seen Rusev on TV for a long period. Just as WWE utilized the rumors to bring Harper back for a grand surprise, the company could also bring Rusev to add variety to the mix.

As mentioned earlier, the Smackdown Live roster is shallow at the moment and bringing a former fan favorite could stir up a whole bunch of possibilities - one of them being a WWE Championship match between Kofi Kingston and Rusev.
Rusev has received only one regular WWE Championship match in his career so far - against AJ Styles at Extreme Rules 2018. That match ended up being the match of the night.
