The Rock last featured in Royal Rumble 2015, where he helped Roman Reigns emerge victorious. However, ever since Roman Reigns became the WWE Universal Champion, rumours of a potential The Rock vs Roman Reigns clash at WWE WrestleMania 35 have caught fire.
The recent betting odds suggest not only a potential return of The Great One to the Rumble next year, but also to win the epic event. But given The Rock's busy schedule outside the WWE, it is highly unlikely that WWE would give a major push to this part-timer.
However WWE could have him enter the Rumble as the number 30 entrant to add that element of surprise and shock to the show, and also go on to lay down the bread crumbs for a potential match at WrestleMania.
