Roman Reigns is possibly the biggest homegrown star in WWE, after John Cena. The Big Dog made his way to WWE in 2010, and worked in FCW for a while. Reigns soon formed The Shield with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, and the trio moved to the main roster by interfering in the main event of Survivor Series 2012. The Shield broke up two years later, and WWE pushed Reigns to be the company's next top star.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
