Balor has had a good reign as the champion

Finn Balor has proven to be a really good Intercontinental Champion. WWE put the title around his waist at the right time when his momentum was running low. and the win salvaged the direction of his character and his credibility.

Balor defeated Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 35 to win the title and was subsequently moved to the SmackDown roster from Raw during the Superstar Shakeup.

Balor has been actively involved in defending the title since then, and has finally met his match in Andrade. It seems that WWE will be building Andrade from now on, and there is a good chance that Balor puts him over. This can be done as early as the Super ShowDown event.

It would allow Andrade to become a major heel on SmackDown while allowing Balor to move up to the top title picture.
