The window of opportunity for Ziggler has long-since closed.

There may have been a time when WWE could have considered Dolph Ziggler for the main event of WrestleMania, but if there was, it has long since passed. In recent years, Ziggler's character has been predominantly based on his shortcomings throughout his career, including his two forgettable reigns as World Heavyweight Champion.

Making his main roster debut nearly 14 years ago, the Ziggler character is now a decade old, and it seems fans have gotten tired of the cocky Superstar, who seems to be destined to remain in the mid-card or lower for the rest of his career. Short of a truly disastrous string of injuries at the top of the roster, or a push even more momentous than Kingston’s this past year, there’s no chance of The Show-Off closing out the biggest show of the year
