#1 Brock Lesnar will retain the Universal Championship

By far the boldest prediction of the night

This is by far the boldest prediction of the night so far, but I have a suspicious feeling that Brock Lesnar will be retaining the Universal Championship at WrestleMania against Seth Rollins.

This feels a lot like last year's WrestleMania where practically everyone thought that Roman Reigns would defeat Lesnar to win the Universal Championship, but he didn’t. Then everyone thought Reigns would defeat Lesnar inside a steel cage at the Greatest Royal Rumble, but that didn’t happen either so I can see WWE pulling the same stunt here.

Since winning the Royal Rumble, Rollins and Lesnar have had only one interaction and that interaction saw Lesnar destroy Rollins. So, it is safe to say the build to this match has been nonexistent. Rollins has been more pre-occupied with the Shield than winning the Universal Championship.

Plus, if Rollins wins, who does he feud with? Besides a “friendly” feud with Reigns, we have seen him against all of the top heels on RAW numerous times. We have seen endless Rollins vs McIntyre, Rollins vs Lashley, and Rollins vs Corbin matches that Rollins winning the belt wouldn’t excite me since these would be the most likely feuds, we would get.

I can also see WWE wanting to keep the belt on Lesnar to get maximum publicity for Lesnar’s potential UFC match that might happen in the coming months. As much as fans would hate this, now that Roman Reigns is back and healthy, I can see them going back to the old formula and have Reigns take the title from Lesnar again. Also, since this match is unlikely to close out the show, the outrage from fans won’t be as bad as it could be if this match was the main event of the evening.
