Melina was fired from WWE back in 2011 and then went on to work for a number of independent promotions all over the world. The former Women's Champion made a shock appearance as part of a backstage segment where she helped Candice Michelle to become 24/7 Champion back in 2019.

Melina has made it clear that she is open to making a return to WWE, so much so that PWInsider reported that the former Champion had re-signed with the company earlier this year.

Melina hasn't stepped in a WWE ring for almost a decade, but it appears that there could be a plan for the former star to be part of Evolution 2 if it takes place in the near future.

Melina has commented on Twitter about her current WWE status and revealed that she is open to a return but she hasn't signed a contract. Melina appears to be another former Champion that the WWE Universe would love to see in a WWE ring once again in the near future.
