An eight-time world champion with millions – and this writer means millions – of fans around the globe, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has cemented his status as one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time.

Speaking to WWE.com in July 2018, the movie star said he “can’t wait to get back in a WWE ring” and explained how the connection he feels with wrestling's live audiences is like nothing else.

The Rock’s last meaningful WWE match came in April 2013 in the main event of WrestleMania 29, where he lost to John Cena, while he defeated Erick Rowan in an impromptu six-second match in April 2016 at WrestleMania 32.

Early speculation ahead of WrestleMania 35 suggests that he could take on Roman Reigns at the event.
