Roman Reigns and Randy Orton have had their fair share of encounters during the last 7 years.
Randy Orton was last seen on WWE TV when he defeated Triple H at WWE Super Showdown last month. Ever since then, he has been dealing with a minor injury but has been appearing on Live events. With so much happening on WWE TV, it was a wise move to have Randy Orton heal up for sometime. Now with the road to SummerSlam officially kicking off tonight, the Viper shouldn't be too far away.

There are several feuds on the plate for Orton. He has been wrestling against Aleister Black at Live Events, so that is something that can be explored by WWE. Or, he could just return to rekindle his feud with Roman Reigns. The Big Dog needs a couple of more meaningful wins before he can be catapulted into the Title picture.
So, an obstacle in the form of a veteran like Randy Orton placed in Reigns' path to the top does sound like a decent idea. The feud can ensure that Reigns' continues to gain momentum and at the same time, have the fans' support with him.
