Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan reigned supreme in the main event of the night!

#1 Daniel Bryan finally gets a step up after turning babyface (but what about Roman Reigns?)

After what seemed to be months of being stuck in a loop, Daniel Bryan finally moved a step ahead on the SmackDown roster.

In a tag team main event, The Planet's Advocate pinned Shinsuke Nakamura, who is the current Intercontinental Champion.

Will John Cena beat Ric Flair's record? A former WCW Champion thinks so HERE

Of course, this might lead to a program between the two Superstars, which is great news since both Bryan and Nakamura have great chemistry with each other. Also, Daniel Bryan's babyface push is a lot more refreshing following his run as a heel alongside Erick Rowan.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns (Bryan's tag partner last night) is drifting aimlessly on the SmackDown roster as of right now.

The Big Dog is easily the most commercial superstar out of the new generation of wrestlers, but he has been stuck in a pointless position since the past few months.

The creative team have deliberately kept him away from the title scenario to avoid a rehash of the times when fans rebelled against Reigns as champion.

While that works to some extent, putting Reigns in pointless feuds has a very neutral effect on Friday Night SmackDown, because even though his segments/matches draw the most number of viewers, it doesn't encourage fans to stay with the product in the overall scheme of things.
