#2 Why Corbin's presence increases stakes for the KOTR Tournament
As odd as it may sound, Baron Corbin is a crucial component to this year's King of the Ring Tournament.
I am not his biggest fan by any means, but Corbin has established himself as a star whom people love to hate. This general dislike for his character has evolved into a situation where fans root for Corbin's opponent to win all the time.
This indirectly increases the stakes for any match featuring Baron Corbin as opposed to two babyfaces slugging it out in the ring.
So even if 'King Corbin' is not anyone's first choice to win the KOTR Tournament, his presence is necessary to maintain a certain degree of conflict within the tournament itself.
As a result, the longer he stays active in the tournament, the better it is for the potential babyface who will eventually knock him out in the end.
How far do you think Corbin will make it in this year's KOTR Tournament?
