#1 Why the 24/7 Championship might be what RAW needed all along

Mick Foley unveiled the brand-new WWE 24/7 Championship on RAW last night. Right when the announcement was made, I instantly knew that a large section of fans was going to express their distaste for the title reveal online.
The 24/7 Championship follows the '24/7' rule, where the title must be defended anytime at anyplace with a referee present. Therefore, comparisons to the Hardcore Championship were inevitable.

On a personal note, this was probably the most enjoyable series of WWE segments I have watched in a while (aside from Firefly Fun House). From R-Truth fooling a whole bunch of superstars to the amazingly choreographed initial brawl that had everyone on their toes, I honestly think that this is a welcome addition to WWE.
The 24/7 title adds a lot of spontaneity to Monday Night RAW, which is needed now more than ever. After all, the regular RAW format has run its course.
The circumstances surrounding the title itself are highly entertaining, absurd and cheesy (in a good way). This is something that could definitely draw a lot of attention every week.
But the ultimate question remains: How long can R-Truth hold on to the 24/7 Championship? Let us know in the comments section below.
