The upcoming WWE SmackDown will mark the final edition of 2024. Although many are looking forward to RAW's Netflix debut on January 6, tonight's show should not be overlooked, as many things could happen to finish the year on a high.
Interestingly, the upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown has no official match card or featured appearances. Just Cody Rhodes has announced that he will be present for tonight's show in Florida, but that doesn't mean that fans should miss the episode.
For this list, we will look at three last-minute predictions for the final WWE SmackDown of 2024:
#3. Kevin Owens could continue to target Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes was last seen getting wheeled out by officials after a post-match attack by Kevin Owens at Saturday Night's Main Event following their title match. However, it looks like the feud between both men is far from being done.
During the recent Holiday Tour of the company, both men faced each other in Jacksonville where Cody won the match and took back the Winged Eagle title that Owens had stolen after SNME. Now that Rhodes is set for an appearance tonight, it's likely that The Prizefighter will also be present to possibly go after the champion again.
#2. A new partnership to emerge on WWE SmackDown?
The latest feud that has emerged on WWE SmackDown was between Braun Strowman and Carmelo Hayes. Both men faced for the first time two weeks ago where the latter turned out to be Nick Aldis' surprise opponent for the former.
Last week, the 41-year-old was a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect, but his appearance didn't end well when Hayes crashed it, resulting in Braun ruining the set as well. After what the Monster of All Monsters did, likely, he is no longer in the good graces of A-Town Down Under. As a result, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory might strike up a conversation with Carmelo and join forces to deal with the Strowman problem.
#1. Jey Uso could make his presence felt
In a shocking turn of events, Drew McIntyre might now be working with Solo Sikoa. Both men conversed last week on the blue brand and on this week's episode of RAW, The Bloodline helped The Scottish Warrior against Sami Zayn and Jey Uso.
Tonight on the blue brand, McIntyre and The Bloodline might clarify their relationship and where they truly stand with each other at present. However, Jey might ensure that they wouldn't get the satisfaction they want and attack them.
