#1 No Women's tag titles
Ever since the announcement of the first ever women's exclusive pay-per-view took place, there were rumors of women's tag titles being introduced. All kinds of rumors were spread like a tournament across both RAW and Smackdown between women's tag teams with the finals eventually taking place at Evolution
WWE also started to assemble teams for the rumored titles, Sasha and Bailey being struck together as a consequence and probably Asuka with Naomi is also a result of the same. Also, there are the IIconics, Riott Squad, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, and Mickie James and Alicia Fox to fulfill the spots in the tournament.
However, with no such matches taking place, there were expectations that it would be unveiled at the historic event, but much to the dismay of the WWE universe, it didn't happen. It was a great opportunity to introduce the titles which WWE missed if they plan to introduce the titles in future.
# Special Mention: High quality matches
Throughout the article we discussed some of the lows that the historic PPV should have avoided but I would like to give the credit where it is due. All the women involved put their best foot forward, and with exceptional matches, made the event memorable.
Toni Storm vs Io Shirai was an entertaining bout for the limited time it was given on the show, the match for the NXT women's championship told a story throughout the match, with a title change being the cherry on top. The veterans Lita and Trish Stratus too performed exceedingly well. In the Battle Royal as well, 50+ years superstars like Ivory and Alundra Blayze performed beyond expectations.
In a match, that should have headlined the event, SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch retained her title against Charlotte after a hard fought Last Woman Standing match which made both the superstars come out strong after the match. Their collision was easily the match of the night overshadowing the real main event.
At the end, I would like to thank all the female superstars for giving us a successful event which would further the cause of women getting the same level of respect as men in the world of professional wrestling.
