On Saturday, November 30, WWE will present the Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event, with the original Bloodline and the new-look version of the group facing off against each other in a WarGames match. One of the company's biggest performers, Cody Rhodes, has yet to be booked for a match at the show.
Earlier this week it was recently reported by 4YouWrestling that the Undisputed WWE Champion may not be working at the event at all.
With that in mind, we are going to take a look at three matches that may find their way onto the show with The American Nightmare not featuring on the card.
#3 - The New Day's anniversary goes wrong
In recent weeks, fans have started to see cracks emerge between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as the two active members of The New Day have disagreed on whether they should help their allies during post-match beatdowns.
Later this month Woods, Kingston, and hopefully a returning Big E will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of The New Day. The group has become one of the most iconic and successful in history, winning seven tag team titles in the process.
Despite their success, it does seem that friction is showing, with Woods certainly becoming increasingly frustrated.
A great way for a potential match between Xavier and Kofi to become official would be for Woods to attack Kingston on their 10th anniversary in the coming weeks.
#2 - The Judgment Day goes to war
Last month on RAW, the established tag team of Erik and Ivar made their much-anticipated return to WWE. Since returning the pair have reverted to their old tag team name, The War Raiders, much to the joy of many fans.
In recent weeks, Erik and Ivar have shown that they are still one of the best duos in the company, winning a number one contender's tournament on RAW.
With that win, Erik and Ivar are now set to face off against The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the World Tag Team Championship.
The tag team title match at Survivor Series would certainly give some much-needed momentum to the RAW tag team division.
One person who has been impressed with The War Raiders as of late is Sportskeeda's Senior Editor Bill Apter, who has praised the duo on the Wrestling Time Machine.
"Well, to be honest with you, now that they're repackaged again, they both look really intense. Without the Viking schtick, the fans now are gonna take them a lot more seriously. I want to see the one thing that's missing in WWE, a steady tag team division. I want to see the WWE build up a tag team division. These guys could, at the beginning, at least go to the top." #1 - CM Punk silences WWE's biggest heel
Last year at Survivor Series, CM Punk made his triumphant return to WWE in his hometown of Chicago.
Fast-forward a year later and after coming out victorious in his blood feud with Drew McIntyre, the former WWE Champion is now looking for another challenge as the road to WrestleMania 41 approaches.
A way in which Punk could be kept busy over the next month or so could be to go one-on-one with the company's most hated star, Dominik Mysterio.
The two are very familiar with one another, despite not having faced off in a televised match, Mysterio was tasked with facing off against Punk in his first match back in WWE last year at two live events.
During a recent conversation on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Dominik Mysterio spoke about how it felt to be the first one to wrestle CM Punk after the legendary star made his return.
"It was special because I knew the company trusted me with things like that. Again, I wasn't aware of it until I got pulled aside and said, 'Hey, how do you feel like working CM Punk in the live events tour?' I was like, 'Yeah. Bring it on. Let's go.' I was excited, I was ready for it 'cause I knew it was another opportunity, another challenge for me."
While their match could lead to a lengthy rivalry, their showdown at Survivor Series could also work as a one-off story due to their immense popularity with the fans.
