Batista vs Triple H surely would have been an enthralling match!
Batista vs Triple H surely would have been an enthralling match!

We are just 44 days away from WrestleMania 35. The anticipation is at an all-time high. Fans are anxious to see what happens when the lights go on in New Jersey, and the world is surely preparing for the exhibition that will definitely follow.

Every year, as the WrestleMania season begins, wrestling fans all around the world start fantasizing about the matches that would happen at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

It is also the time that wrestling fans are stuck with reality. How often do the matches that we hope will happen actually happen at WrestleMania?

Sometimes, those matches do happen, but most of the times, the matches that you don't want to happen are exactly the ones that come to fruition. This year is no different. Already, it looks like WWE is laying the ground for a triple-threat for the Raw Women's championship while what the fans actually want is truly different from what is being given to them.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Anyways, Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar are expected to tear the house down while Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will give it all to make this WrestleMania an event that is remembered for a long time to come.

As for those matches, Here are the two WrestleMania 35 matches that should have happened, but won’t.

#3 Daniel Bryan vs The Miz

This could have been one of the greatest rivalries ever!
This could have been one of the greatest rivalries ever!

Ever since Daniel Bryan was cleared to return to in-ring action in 2018, all the WWE Universe wanted to see was a match between the two There was tension building between them even when Bryan wasn’t even a part of the active roster.

A rivalry that started in an episode of Talking Smack on August 23, 2016. Daniel Bryan called the Miz a coward which made the Miz go on to a now-famous rant about how Daniel Bryan's wrestling style is why he can't wrestle anymore and how a hard working guy like him has been an underappreciated star in the WWE.

The astounding promo led to many fans fantasizing about a potential Daniel Bryan return to the WWE ring, and how great a program between the two men would be.

Bryan made his historic return to wrestling in 2018, and a program between the two was made. As good as the feud was, we never got a satisfactory conclusion to it.

In my opinion, the Grandest Stage of them All would have been the perfect place to have The Miz vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship, and it is rather unfortunate to not have yet another match with so much potential.

#2 Batista vs Triple H

It sis sad to not have these to go at it at the Grandest Stage of them all!

sad to not have these to go at it at the Grandest Stage of them all!

This year's WrestleMania has only two big matches scheduled so far, and they are the only selling point for the Grandest Stage of Them All. Another big rumoured match for the event was Triple H vs Batista, but that plan has been scrapped because of Triple H getting injured in Saudi Arabia.

The rumours began circulating when Batista made his return to the WWE at the SmackDown 1000 episode with the Evolution. The group was raving about their accolades and accomplishments, and it was all looking good until Batista targeted Triple H. He made a deceitful comment about Triple H never beating him in a one-on-one match.

This sent a lot of excitement towards the WWE Universe, and a potential match-up between the two looked like a real possibility. A short time later, an unfortunate event occurred, and Triple H got injured in November during a match at Crown Jewel.

"The King of Kings" paired with the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels to take on the Brothers of Destruction in a tag team match where they eventually overcame the destruction duo. But during the match, Triple H suffered a torn pectoral muscle and underwent surgery several days later. It was thought that the timetable for his return would be around 9 months and will see him miss WrestleMania 35.

#1 The Undertaker vs John Cena

The Deadman made his presence felt last year!
The Deadman made his presence felt last year!

The place was Orlando, Florida, the event was WrestleMania 33. The Undertaker made a staggering 25th appearance at WrestleMania.

After taking a lot of punishment that included 5 Spears, the Undertaker suffered his second loss at WrestleMania in a career that spanned well over a decade.

After the match, the entire WWE Universe witnessed a rare sight which made their eyes melt. The Undertaker left his ring-gear and his coat in the centre of the ring. Many thought this was the last we have seen of the Undertaker.

Fast forward to a year later - John Cena starts teasing a match with him. Cena uses everything in his possession, even abusing him to get a match at WrestleMania, but to no avail.

With nothing left for him to do at the biggest stage, Cena then decided to go to the event as a mere spectator.

On the day of WrestleMania, after sitting at the spectator's seat for a long freaking time, Cena decides to call out the Undertaker, but there was no sign of the Deadman. Cena then starts walking backstage but all of a sudden, the gong strikes. The crowd goes absolutely bonkers!

The dream match that the fans had been craving for years was finally coming to fruition as The Undertaker entered the ring, removed his hat, and the match began.

But the stuff that transpired left the 70000 people in the arena in shock. Undertaker squashed Cena in under three minutes, and we never got to see the instant classic it was supposed to be.

And now we are getting closer to the 35th anniversary of WrestleMania, and there is no sign of the Undertaker or even John Cena. Rumour has it that the Undertaker will not be a part of the biggest stage this year.

The Undertaker is in the final stage of his decorated career, and WrestleMania 35 could have been the last for the Deadman. John Cena surely has some unfinished business left with The Undertaker, and the rematch would surely have been an exhilarating contest.
