New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#3. The Tag Team Championship may be defended at Survivor Series
The Motor City Machine Guns have been actively defending the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown since they won. Last week, they were in another title defense against The Street Profits but were interrupted by Tommaso Ciampa, much to the dismay of Johnny Gargano.
Another confrontation between the three groups could happen tonight, especially between DIY and The Street Profits about who should challenge for the title next. Instead of having another contender's match, Nick Aldis could announce a Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series between MCMG, DIY, and The Street Profits.
#2. Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE SmackDown return last week could lead to a title match
LA Knight held an open challenge for the United States Championship last week on WWE SmackDown, which was initially answered by Santos Escobar. After some back and forth, it was decided that The Megastar would face Berto. The champion retained, and while celebrating, he was attacked by a returning Shinsuke Nakamura.
The King of Strong Style hasn't been seen since earlier this year. Many fans were waiting for his return, and when it finally happened, it was no surprise that he targeted somebody holding gold. Both men have never fought each other in a televised singles match, and Nakamura will surely be a tough challenge for the champion, who is deserving of a PLE stage.
#1. Cody Rhodes may have found a worthy opponent for the Undisputed WWE Championship
As of this writing, Cody Rhodes is the only current World Champion in WWE who still doesn't have a match for the upcoming PLE. However, there is one star who has been proving himself to be a worthy challenger.
On tonight's WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes will go face-to-face with Kevin Owens. Due to the weeks of pent-up aggression and tension, a brawl would most likely break out, which could result in Cody vs. Kevin for the Undisputed WWE Title at Survivor Series: WarGames.
