#1 Finn Balor (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship)
Finn Balor has been the Intercontinental Champion since WrestleMania and has defended it on multiple occasions against Andrade. Many fans expected that feud to continue beyond Super ShowDown, but Andrade was unavailable due to his mother's death. However, a new challenge awaits Balor in the form of Shinsuke Nakamura.
Nakamura and Balor had a backstage segment together on the post-Stomping Grounds edition of SmackDown Live. This marked Nakamura's first appearance in almost two months. Given that Nakamura's alliance with Rusev has ended, it's likely that he returns to singles competition. His first target is the Intercontinental Championship and WWE would be wise to book this match on pay-per-view as it is a legitimate dream match that every fan would want to watch.

Balor and Nakamura have similar paths to WWE, their matches in the pasts show that they have great chemistry, so a match between the two is a sure-fire match of the year candidate. Nakamura and Balor should face off in a Ladder Match at Extreme Rules as the best IC title matches have always taken place in ladder matches.
