The physical nature of WWE and pro wrestling in general often necessitates the rotation of stars in and out of featured spots on RAW and SmackDown. Injuries can both help and hinder the roster.

An injured star has to start from scratch but the absence can open up a spot for a different performer to advance. Many big WWE names are currently out of action for reasons ranging from injury to maternity leave to creative direction.

When those stars are ready for action, they should portray certain characters to offset recent changes on RAW and SmackDown.

Three of the following WWE stars should come back as heels while the rest should be faces:

#3. Alexa Bliss can do it all

RAW and SmackDown both need viable main-event level performers in the women's division. The red brand has Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY as former World Champions. Liv Morgan may be the current titleholder but has been booked as a cowardly heel, and her reign hasn't been defined by wrestling clinics in the ring.

Bliss, on the other hand, is a proven commodity who can cut it in the ring and on the mic. She's quick-witted and could easily outsmart Morgan and her annoying laugh after every comment.

Lyra Valkyria and Zoey Stark have potential but have endured inconsistent bookings. When Little Miss Bliss returns, she needs to be a face, despite being able to portray a heel character. She could align with Valkyria to battle the Pure Fusion Collective or Morgan and Rodriguez of The Judgment Day.

The women's divisions are still building talents into potential future main eventers, so having one more multi-time champion in the fold as a face can help build some other heels.

#3. Omos works the best as a monster heel

Fans may not know it but Omos is still a member of the main roster. While WWE released Cameron Grimes, Dijak, and others during the last round of cuts, the Nigerian Giant was not released.

He won't light up the ring every week but is a performer who can be used for special occasions. The Nigerian Giant could be featured at Saudi Arabia shows or hardcore matches.

A stable like Alpha Academy could try to chop him down like a big redwood tree. Or even tangling with Bronson Reed. He's too imposing to be a smiling good guy, so when he is booked into something meaningful, it should be as a heel.

#2. Randy Orton has been better in WWE as a heel

Randy Orton is beloved by the WWE Universe for his years of service as a reliable performer. His in-ring game was never going to match that of Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, or Seth Rollins, but he's always excelled at storytelling.

Whether he's a heel or a face, The Viper doesn't change much. He just targets faces when he's a heel and bad guys when he's a hero. Cody Rhodes has to realize every one of his big decisions has consequences.

For that reason alone, it would be better for WWE if Orton returns to his Legend Killer character. He could even tweak it to "hero killer" since Rhodes has gone out of his way to "do the right thing" in his mind, even if it cost him friendships.

#2. Brock Lesnar left WWE as a face

Brock Lesnar hasn't wrestled since losing the rubber match to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. He held Rhodes' arm up after the bout, essentially endorsing The American Nightmare.

It's not something The Beast has done often, so it had more meaning when he did do it. With a few new challenges in his path, Lesnar should re-emerge as a face. He's already battled Rhodes, Rollins, Omos, Roman Reigns, and many other stars.

However, several dynamics have changed. Drew McIntyre is a heel. That feud could be revisited with a switch in roles. He could mention how he was also cheated out of wins by The Bloodline but moved on.

Lesnar could also tangle with Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, or Gunther. He had a brief face-to-face with The Ring General in the Men's Royal Rumble Match in 2023.

#1. Charlotte Flair is better suited as a heel character

Like Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair has always been much better as a heel. Her constant pushes and being Rick Flair's daughter were always better suited to a villainous persona.

That's not to say that she hasn't worked her tail off to become one of the top stars in wrestling. Some performers are just better suited for certain roles and her's doesn't change when she shifs from face to heel.

Her many absences made her a face by default when she returned but nothing about her presentation changed. Flair's constant booking in the title picture also rubs a portion of the WWE Universe the wrong way.

It's why a lot of fans consistently rejected Roman Reigns before his heel turn. When The Queen comes back, it needs to be as the arrogant and entitled top star who doesn't earn every title shot she gets.

1. Becky Lynch was on fire as a face multiple times

As Flair is better suited to be a villain, Becky Lynch has been better as a face. Unlike The Queen, Lynch has altered her character to make each turn unique.

From The Man to Big Time Becks, Lynch has undergone transformations after trying different personas. Since she could have revenge on her mind, Lynch should reemerge as a face. She doesn't need to be The Man but could tweak her character again.

Lynch can sell almost anything she does in promos which is another thing Flair arguably isn't the best at. Fans like cheering for Lynch so her return must be as a fan-favorite face.
