A lot has changed in WWE's product and management since Triple H took over from Vince McMahon as the head of creative. There are visible changes as the camera works, such as frequent international trips for premium live events. On the other hand, there are also subtle changes backstage.
Vince McMahon initially retired as WWE's chairman in July 2022 and briefly returned in early 2023, but he officially retired in early 2024 for the second time after Endeavor bought the Stamford-based promotion. Since then, Triple H has been the head of creative. Aside from managing the stories in the company, he also mended relationships with those who weren't on the same page as Vince in the past.
In this list, we will look at three names that have mended faces with WWE since Triple H took over from Vince McMahon.

#3. Jesse Ventura was recently spotted at WWE RAW greeting Triple H
On the final WWE RAW episode before SummerSlam 2024, fans were treated to a rare sight of Jesse Ventura backstage greeting Triple H. This came as a shock to many, as the 73-year-old wasn't on good terms with Vince McMahon.
For those unaware, Ventura is an actor, politician, and retired professional wrestler who later became a color commentator from the 1970s until the 1980s. In the 90s, he sued the company after he learned that he wasn't receiving royalties for videotape sales, despite other nonfeatured names receiving theirs. The strain between him and Vince McMahon was furthered when he pushed for unionization in the company.
Despite the tension with the former chairman, Jesse still made appearances in WWE. Some of the most prominent ones were in 1999 when he acted as a guest referee for that year's SummerSlam main event; in 2004, when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and at the 2009 TLC event, where he was at ringside to provide commentary with Vince.
#2. CM Punk made a shocking return to his hometown in 2023
One of the biggest theories heading into the 2023 Survivor Series was the possibility that CM Punk would return in front of his hometown in Chicago. The company dropped subtle hints about The Second City Saint during the weekly shows leading up to the event, and reports emerged that Punk had fixed his issues with Triple H and other stars he had tensions with in the past.
Many thought that Punk wouldn't return when the credits of the Chicago PLE rolled in, only for him to appear at the very end and celebrate with the crowd. Although his in-ring return has been delayed due to an injury, he has remained active in the past few months through sporadic appearances and by praising the company under Triple H's management, something he couldn't do before.
Punk and McMahon's issues are quite well-known. The current superstar has shared issues about Vince's creative plans and attitude. He even threw jabs at the Stamford-based promotion when he was in AEW. Recently, he has even stated that he would never have left WWE if it were how it is now.
#1. Gail Kim was spotted at an NXT event after walking out of WWE due to Vince McMahon
There has been a history of WWE stars walking out of the company; aside from CM Punk, among them is Gail Kim, who did it on live television in the middle of a match. Years later, Kim would share how she barely got to talk with Vince McMahon and that segments with her were being cut, which was why her appearance on NXT was quite a shock to many.
In June of this year, NXT began working with TNA and has featured stars like Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, and more on the Tuesday show. However, during the Battleground event, Gail was also among the names of those who attended through the audience.
