#2: Why Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton hurt the Pay-Per-View's momentum
There were several moments during Clash of Champions when the event seemed to drag on needlessly. That can be attributed to the fact that the match card was improperly structured to an extent. Besides, Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton turned out exactly as predicted.
Orton's slow & methodical approach to wrestling doesn't seem to work in several cases, and that is what happened last night. Additionally, Kingston is often known as a high-flyer by default, but he has adopted WWE's characteristic approach to matches as WWE Champion.
That isn't a bad thing necessarily, but what happens when you mix both of those characteristics? What you get is the most standard WWE match in the end. So even if Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton wasn't a bad match by any means, it was still the most basic match by WWE standards, and it negatively affected the event's momentum.
