3 NXT Superstars who might get called up before WrestleMania 35 and 3 who might after

NXT
NXT

With WrestleMania season right around the corner, we are on the verge of seeing several NXT call-ups...

We're not far away from the Royal Rumble PPV, and like always, WWE is used to surprising us in many different ways, mostly by bringing up the yellow brand's superstars to the main roster. Several names of potential call-ups have come up, including Aleister Black.

This time, it'll be difficult for the superstars who'll be called up to the main roster as both brands are already stacked up, at least for now, so it'll interesting to see how the company will book them.

So, today in the feature let's take a look at those who might leave NXT (before or after WrestleMania 35) in order to get promoted to the main roster...

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#6 Before - Aleister Black

Aleister Black
Aleister Black

Aleister Black recently returned to NXT tapings and picked up a feud with Johnny Gargano. Black was on hiatus since he suffered a legitimate injury before NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.

Black is currently involved in a feud with Tomasso Ciampa, and his feud is looking to be a longer one. Rumor has it that WWE officials are looking to bring up Aleister Black to the main roster soon.

I guess he won't make his main roster debut before next year's Royal Rumble PPV as he's scheduled to take on his rival Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix, which will take place on Royal Rumble weekend.

And as it's clear he won't be called up before TakeOver Phoenix, as it'll be a championship match, perhaps he makes his main roster debut starting from Royal Rumble PPV as a surprise entrant in the Men's Royal Rumble match.

Adding Aleister to the main roster will be a big thing so I guess it'd better for him to make his debut on the SmackDown Live better than on Raw as the brand itself is filled up.

#5 After - Tommaso Ciampa

Tommaso Ciampa
Tommaso Ciampa

Tommaso Ciampa made his return to WWE back in 2015. Yes, for those who didn't know, Ciampa first signed with WWE back in 2005, but unfortunately was released two years later. Since coming back to the company, Ciampa has been a part of several top-level feuds, namely against his former partner Johnny Gargano.

Ciampa is currently booked for the Royal Rumble weekend.

He is scheduled to defend his NXT Title against Aleister Black at NXT TakeOver: Pheonix. And as per the rumor, Black is scheduled to make his main roster debut one day after his championship match. So it might be a spoiler that Ciampa is going to win his TakeOver match in order for Black to move to the main roster.

And as Raw and SD after WrestleMania hold the history of several NXT call-ups so it makes sense for him to make his main roster debut there, as there'll be a couple of NXT call-ups before WrestleMania 35, which might make Ciampa get lost on the roster.

#4 Before - EC3

EC3
EC3

EC3 returned to WWE earlier this year. Right off the bat, he was added to the NXT North American Championship match, but unfortunately, he was unsuccessful in capturing the title.

He is currently on hiatus as he suffered a concussion during NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4, where he lost his match to Velveteen Dream.

And now coming to the point, it's clear that EC3 won't be spending as much as time as every superstar spends on the yellow brand as he's in this business for a long time now. It's just a matter of when he's going to get called up.

According to the rumor, EC3 was supposed to be on the main roster by now but due to the concussion he suffered, WWE has halted his call-up plans and decided to let him stay on the yellow brand for a short amount of time.

WWE officials could be looking forward to bringing him to the main roster soon by making his debut at the Royal Rumble PPV. Bringing up Dixie Carter’s kayfabe nephew to the WWE's main roster will be a good move as the man himself has some skill on the mic.

But, the question really is this: is WWE going to push him as a top-star?

#3 After - Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano
Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano started his WWE career three years ago with its NXT brand. He participated in the Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic Tournament with his then-partner Tommaso Ciampa. Gargano is currently involved in a feud with Aleister Black.

Though the feud between the two was supposed to end at NXT TakeOver: WarGames II, last week on the NXT tapings, the two men came face to face and indicated the feud between the two is far from over.

It's no secret to anyone that Gargano is ready to jump ship on the main roster, but not even a single word came out that WWE officials are thinking the same. I think the reason behind this could be that Gargano is already a top-guy and he can't leave the yellow brand without a title run, so maybe next year he will win the NXT Title.

So, perhaps he'll make his main roster debut following SummerSlam 2019.

#2 Before - Velveteen Dream

Velveteen Dream
Velveteen Dream

Velveteen Dream is inarguably one of the most controversial NXT stars of all time. After all, wherever the man walks, controversy is behind him. A prime example of this would be him at NXT Takeover: War Games II, where he dressed up like Hulk Hogan.

Velveteen Dream is currently considered to come to the main roster sooner rather than later. Yes, rumor has it that Dream is most likely to make his main roster debut before WrestleMania 35. And who knows? He might even have a match at the Showcase of the Immortals.

But, the question is on which brand will he show up: Raw or SmackDown Live?

Adding him to the main roster will be a huge deal. After all, the man is tipped by several legends to be the next face of the company. So I think Dream should appear on the Raw brand, as a superstar of his magnitude will change the game there and will own the brand completely.

#1 After - Shayna Baszler

Shayna
Shayna Baszler

The "Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler made her WWE debut by participating in its first ever WWE Mae Young Classic Tournament. In the finals, Baszler faced off against Kairi Sane, but unfortunately for the former MMA fighter, she lost.

Baszler won her first NXT Title defeating the champion Ember Moon at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.

Following, this she was involved in a feud with Kairi Sane, and at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4, the latter defeated the former for the title, ending her 133 day reign. But at WWE Evolution, Baszler won the NXT Women's Title for the second time after defeating Kairi Sane.

But when is she going to make her move to the main roster?

The answer probably is on the Raw after WrestleMania. The "Queen of Spades" will be a big deal, and I don't see her making her main roster start with its blue brand.

Also, a match between Four Horsewomen of UFC vs Four Horsewomen of WWE is rumored for a long time and I think we might finally see it happening at next year's Survivor Series PPV.
