Heyman proposes to Lee
AJ Lee's love-triangle storyline with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan saw her becoming the RAW General Manager after leaving Daniel Bryan at the altar during their on-screen marriage on RAW 1000. Lee began exacting revenge on both Punk and Bryan as soon as she assumed the role of the RAW GM. On an episode of WWE RAW, Punk berated Lee in the ring, but Paul Heyman had other things in mind.

Lee, though taken aback at first, soon regained her composure and hit Heyman with a hard slap, before leaving. Lee stepped down from the position of GM on the October 22 episode of RAW and soon got involved in a storyline with John Cena. Her stint in WWE lasted for three more years. She retired soon after WrestleMania 31 in 2015 and hasn't made a return to the ring since then.
