Lashley initially surprised her by stating that he doesn't like it when someone tells him what to do, but then added that Lana is an exception. Lashley got down on his knees and proposed to Lana, which the latter immediately accepted. On the final RAW of 2019, Lashley and Lana had their wedding interrupted by Rusev and a returning Liv Morgan, who professed her love for Lana. This led to a Mixed Tag Team match involving the quartet, which Lana and Lashley eventually won. Soon after, Rusev was released by WWE and Lana's on-screen relationship with Lashley ended when she accidentally cost him the WWE title at Backlash 2020.
