Samoa Joe won the United States Championship by defeating R-Truth, Rey Mysterio and Andrade Cien Almas in a fatal four-way match in an episode of Smackdown Live and he also successfully defended the title at Fastlane.

John Cena was rumored to face Lars Sullivan at WrestleMania Sullivan has not made his main roster debut because of suffering from an anxiety attack. In case Sullivan is not present in WWE, the company will have to change their plans and find a new opponent for John Cena.

After winning the United States Championship, Joe mentioned Cena in an interview. According to the reports from Forbes.com, Joe is going to face Cena for the US title. Cena has been one of the most decorated superstars of all times and if Joe managed to defeat Cena at WrestleMania then this would be his biggest victory in the WWE.
