There is an expectation that Roman Reigns will not only appear at the RAW premiere on Netflix on January 6 but will also compete. Based on recent reports, the Original Tribal Chief is set to be among the top stars on RAW, while he will continue to make appearances on SmackDown, too.
Heading into the red brand's blockbuster move to the global streaming platform, three possible matches for the former Universal Champion on January 6 are below.
#3. Roman Reigns could collide with Drew McIntyre in search of revenge for Jey Uso and Sami Zayn
Drew McIntyre returned to Monday Night RAW on December 2 and targeted Sami Zayn and Jey Uso for joining Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline.
The Yeet Master is still not medically cleared to compete, while the former Intercontinental Champion challenged The Scottish Warrior to a match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.
The former World Heavyweight Champion is expected to continue his feud with Jey and Sami as both seek revenge on Drew McIntyre for his actions on RAW over the past couple of weeks.
This could lead to a feud with Roman Reigns, who is set to move to RAW after five years on SmackDown, starting from the red brand's premiere on Netflix. Reigns could show up on RAW and go after the Scottish Warrior, seeking revenge for the latter's assault on the OG Bloodline members.
#2. A rematch with Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship
Roman Reigns spent four months off after his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. He returned at SummerSlam as a face and teamed up with The American Nightmare to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood.
During the build-up to the match, the Original Tribal Chief made it clear that he would go after the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, aiming to reclaim the title.
This match could happen at the RAW premiere on Netflix, where the American Nightmare is also expected to appear. A match between the two megastars could create a new angle in the storyline, as The Rock could get involved and set the stage for a title match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
The Final Boss returned at Bad Blood and stared down both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Thus, a title match at the RAW premiere on Netflix could be the perfect opportunity for him to come back again.
#1. He could fight with Solo Sikoa, with the Ula Fala on the line
Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns continue The Bloodline Civil War and have split wins over the last two matches between the new Bloodline and the OG Bloodline. Thus, a third match could settle the rivalry, at least for the time being, as the former Universal Champion is set to move to RAW in early January.
This time, though, the two megastars could raise the stakes and have a match with the Ula Fala on the line. Solo took over the faction during Roman's absence and declared himself the Tribal Chief.
However, Roman Reigns returned as the Original Tribal Chief and went after Sikoa. If the two collide for the Ula Fala, the rest of the OG Bloodline and the new Bloodline could be banned from ringside to avoid outside interference.
