Bron Breakker has been enjoying himself at the top of WWE RAW as the Intercontinental Champion ahead of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The 27-year-old star has had a good run with the title.
Breakker has successfully defeated Sami Zayn, Ludwig Kaiser, and Sheamus to retain his title. He will face The Celtic Warrior again at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the Intercontinental Championship.
This time, WWE must hand Bron a loss and take the title off him. The change could result in some good storylines.
With that said, check out the three reasons why Bron Breakker must lose his title at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event..
#3. Sheamus deserves another title run
Sheamus hasn’t won the Intercontinental Championship in his career. The veteran has done everything in the company except take the prestigious title home.
The Celtic Warrior also hasn’t won a title since 2021. It’s been a while since the big man has gone all the way and had a good title run.
Triple H could give Sheamus the title run he deserves by awarding him the Intercontinental Championship at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. The veteran could have an extended run where he could give the younger stars a good rub before dropping the title to someone like Ludwig Kaiser.
Bron Breakker has had a nice run with the title and is ready to move on to bigger things on Netflix. The loss wouldn’t dent his value.
#2. He must become Gunther's challenger after WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event
Gunther has had a notable run with the World Heavyweight Championship. He has successfully defended his title against big stars, including Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and Sami Zayn.
Saturday Night’s Main Event will see The Ring General defend his title against Jey Uso. The former Bloodline member will likely lose the match, thanks to Drew McIntyre’s interference.
That could leave Gunther without a challenger heading into Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. WWE could take the Intercontinental Championship off Bron Breakker and push him into the world title picture.
The 27-year-old star could remind Gunther that he has pinned him in the past and plans to do the same again. The feud could give him a greater push on RAW on Netflix than the Intercontinental Championship run.
#1. Bron Breakker would be a threat in the 2025 Royal Rumble
Bron Breakker has been seen as a wrecking force in WWE. The 27-year-old star was dubbed the next Brock Lesnar by a few, but he hasn’t been able to replicate The Beast Incarnate’s intensity.
Losing the Intercontinental Championship could make Breakker hungrier and more passionate. The loss could see him announce himself as an entrant for the Royal Rumble match and get back in the game for a world title opportunity.
Bron Breakker could have a good run in the Royal Rumble without a title around his waist. It would make him a more believable potential winner, and he could score numerous eliminations to pose a threat to other wrestlers.
