John Cena has been out of the ring for the majority of 2018 due to his busy movie schedule, but his latest tweet suggests that he will be returning home (referring to WWE) after he is done with the promotion for an upcoming movie. This means he could be active in the WWE for the better part of 2019.

So what does the WWE have for the mega-star this year? WrestleMania is just a few months away and we can expect John Cena to set up a mega match this year at the Show of Shows. Due to an irregular schedule, WWE hasn't quite able to fit John Cena in any storyline yet, but there's still a lot of time for making things happen.

Over the years, John Cena has been feuding with the new era of superstars like Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles to put them over. To be honest, he did a pretty decent job while he was at it.

But I believe it's time for John Cena to accomplish the few achievements which he has yet to do. He and the WWE both are running out of time, so it's time WWE put their act together and make things happen.

John Cena winning his 17th World Championship is long overdue. As the champ is slowly shifting his focus on his Hollywood career, WWE might give him a title shot at Mania this year before he leaves for good.

John Cena has accomplished almost every accolade in the WWE but is still shy of a few. One of them is winning the Intercontinental championship. Seth and Dean, the champ might have an eye on you guys. Beware.

John Cena also has some unfinished business with The Undertaker after being squashed by the Phenom last year at WrestleMania. So does this mean we will be getting Cena vs Taker 2? I hope we do, since their match at Mania was short and disappointing. So let me pen down 3 possible matches John Cena is most likely to be booked for at WrestleMania 35. Here we go.

1) John Cena vs Daniel Bryan: WWE Championship Match

John Cena has yet to win his 17th WWE Championship and this could be the best time for him to capture it. With Daniel turning heel, I can see him holding the title up until WrestleMania. John Cena being a face would be the perfect opponent to clash with Daniel Bryan.

They have locked horns many times in the past and it's time we see them clash again. This match would be best for business as these two stars have a huge fan following and would skyrocket the ratings.

So what would John Cena's Road to WrestleMania look like? There are two possible ways, one of which is being Cena just calling out Bryan for a shot at the WWE Championship as he has done many times in the past.

The second one is a #1 Contender's match between John Cena and AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble. WWE could even book a triple threat by adding AJ Styles in the WWE Championship match but for now, let's stick to Bryan vs Cena.

Let's hope John Cena finally wins his record-breaking 17th WWE Championship.

2) The Undertaker vs John Cena: Career vs Career match

This match had been a dream match for years but WWE couldn't execute it well at Mania. The Undertaker is well past his prime and it's about time the Phenom hung up his boots.

According to the rumors, Undertaker is set to fight his last match at WrestleMania 35. I think John Cena is the right person to put an end to The Undertaker's legendary career.

We all remember the moment when The Undertaker came up to John Cena and shook his hand for his impressive debut. Since that handshake, John Cena has gone out to be the top guy and achieve major feats in the WWE.

We could witness the same scene at WrestleMania but the other way around. Imagine the intensity and emotion in this match-up. The Career vs Career stipulation match would make sense and also raise the stakes higher.

WWE, as well as the fans, would regret it if this match doesn't get booked. Watching two legends battle it out for their careers is a story we haven't seen in years. This match could be the highlight of the event.

3) John Cena vs Dean Ambrose: Intercontinental

Championship match

Looking at how WWE's storylines are moving, you would call me crazy for writing down this match, but let me explain.

As the rumors suggest, Seth Rollins will be dropping his Intercontinental title to Dean Ambrose at TLC to set up a clash with Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. This means we won't be seeing Seth vs Dean at Mania. If the rumors happen to be true, what would it be mean for Dean?

On the other hand, John Cena is just shy of an IC Championship win to achieve a Grand Slam. So why not do this at the Grandest Stage of them All?

Dean Ambrose is currently one of the best heels in the company and in order to develop more, he must have a feud with a big star like John Cena. Remember how Seth Rollins emerged as a top heel thanks to his feud with John Cena? WWE must plan something similar but it would be way better than John-Seth feud. I can guarantee you that.

A sadistic lunatic vs Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. Can it get better than this? This would be a great way to put over Dean as one of the greatest heels of the new era. I hope WWE doesn't put Dean back in mid-card, which would just ruin his perfect heel turn. If we don't get Seth vs Dean at Mania, this match could happen.
