3 potential opponents for Edge should the rumors about his WWE return become true

A feud against Bray Wyatt would tick all the boxes for Edge's in-ring return

So far, The Fiend has attacked two types of WWE personnel - those who wronged Bray Wyatt in the past, and WWE legends. While Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and Daniel Bryan belong to the first category, people like Jerry Lawler, Mick Foley and Kurt Angle belong to the latter.

The Fiend changes whomever he feuds with - often for the best. Wyatt's alter ego reverted Balor, Rollins and Bryan to their respective best days. We could even say The Fiend reverted Lawler to his best version - a commentator.

Edge should not be a surprise entrant at the 2020 Royal Rumble, but instead, The Fiend should attack the Rated R Superstar after the ongoing feud with Bryan.

In the weeks after, we could see Edge revert to his best persona - the Rated R Superstar. They could then feud until WrestleMania or whenever WWE sees fit. Such a move would help WWE maintain consistency with the character of Wyatt, and would also provide a basis for Edge to return out of the blue.
