Chad Gable is widely considered one of the most underrated performers on WWE's roster. Despite holding several tag team titles, he was often positioned as a mid-card act and was rarely pushed as a singles star in the past. That has changed under Triple H, as Gable is among Monday Night RAW's most featured talents.

Unfortunately, Gable also has a massive target on his back, as Gable has been targeted by the Wyatt Sicks, a new stable comprising Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan. They brutally assaulted Gable upon their debut. If that wasn't enough, Cross proceeded to haunt Master Gable on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW.

Many are wondering what the issue is between Wyatt Sicks and Chad Gable. This article will take a look at three reasons why the Uncle Howdy-led group could be targeting the former Tag Team Champion on RAW.

#3 The Wyatt Sicks may hate his treatment of the Alpha Academy

The Wyatt Sicks is clearly priding themselves on one key factor: being family. In the group's bizarre and creepy presentation, it has been emphasized that they support each other. In many ways, this represents what a family should do in and out of WWE.

Chad Gable apparently missed this memo, however. He was the leader of The Alpha Academy, a stable that consisted of Otis, Maxxine Durpi, and Akira Tozawa. For a while, the group got along great, but once Gable turned heel, he began mistreating his then-pupils.

Gable routinely slapped Otis and berated the big man. He also talked down to Tozawa and even shoved him. While Gable didn't put his hands on Maxxine, he verbally abused her on multiple occasions.

Given that Wyatt Sicks' case is so much about family, it could be targeting Chad Gable due to how he treated his former stablemates. Uncle Howdy seemingly views Gable as a bully. Hence, he may be looking to protect Otis, Maxxine, and Tozawa from the mistreatment.

#2 Chad Gable's general attitude may have rubbed the faction the wrong way

Chad Gable has had several personality changes throughout his time in WWE. Some believe he was a nice guy, albeit a bit bland, upon first joining the main roster. Over time, he emphasized his genius intellect and showed off his charisma, but in the most annoying way possible.

In some ways, his antics became endearing. That is until his most recent heel turn. Gable has seemingly dropped a lot of his sillier bits and instead is just extremely condescending to everybody in WWE. This even includes top stars like Sami Zayn, whom Gable talks down to regularly.

Wyatt Sicks and Uncle Howdy may not actually care about The Alpha Academy and the members of the group, but they may simply dislike Gable and his attitude. It is easy to hate an arrogant individual. While fans will boo him for his behavior, a group like the Wyatt Sicks can try to shut him up.

#1 Gable could be in the wrong place at the wrong time in WWE

It is fun to imagine various conspiracy theories and do a deep dive into the psyche of the Wyatt Sicks regarding their perceived targeting of Chad Gable. WWE fans love speculation, after all.

Realistically, though, Chad Gable being a target may be far less complicated than any of us realize. He could simply be at the wrong place at the wrong time regularly. For example, he was one of the numerous victims on WWE RAW last week when Uncle Howdy, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, and Erick Rowan first arrived.

On RAW last night, Nikki Cross may have freaked Gable out, but she came with a gift. Her target wasn't actually Chad, but instead, she gave a tape to Michael Cole. There is a chance that Cross would have shown up at that moment, regardless of who was there, and Gable just happened to be the unfortunate soul in the ring.
