WWE legend and Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin hasn't appeared at a WrestleMania event since the show's 32nd instalment, where he made a surprise appearance with fellow legends Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley.
According to PW Insider, the "Texas Rattlesnake" will likely have some type of role when WWE heads to the New York market for their biggest show of the year, which hopefully means that he'll end up doing something significant during the show.
"We are told that WWE is currently finalizing plans on other names from the past they are seeking to bring in WrestleMania weekend as well, with Steve Austin's name floating around quite a bit."
If Austin does show up during the show, it'll be as a surprise, because as of this writing, WWE hasn't yet announced that "Stone Cold" will be appearing at WrestleMania 35, so him showing up would surely be met with a huge reaction from the live crowd at MetLife Stadium.

#3 - Assists Kofi Kingston in the WWE Championship Match
WWE chairman Vince McMahon has played a huge role in Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship chase in the buildup for this year's WrestleMania, so one would expect to see the boss of the company play a role in the match as well.
McMahon's biggest onscreen rival was "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, so it would make a ton of sense for the "Texas Rattlesnake" to help Kofi Kingston defeat Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship if the chairman attempts to prevent the New Day member from walking out of Mania 35 with the blue brand's main title.
It would also give the fans a chance to see Steve Austin and Daniel Bryan in the ring with one another, which would likely end up with the current WWE Champion being on the receiving end of a "Stone Cold Stunner," which would get a huge pop from the live crowd.
#2 - Endorses Becky Lynch after title win
As was announced by Stephanie McMahon during Monday's go-home edition of Raw, the triple threat Women's Championship main event between Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair will be a "winner take all" match, where the winner of the match will walk out of the event with both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships.
Over the last few months, WWE has booked Becky Lynch as a Steve Austin-like character, so it would make sense to have the "Texas Rattlesnake" endorse "The Man" if she ends up going over in the WrestleMania 35 main event.
There's a chance that Steve Austin appearing after the main event's conclusion will upstage the matches winner, but there's also a chance that it'll help Becky Lynch get over even more than she already is.
But nevertheless, it would still be awesome to see the company's biggest star of all time endorse the winner of the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event.
#1 - Confrontation With Elias
During a recent edition of the Steve Austin Show, "Stone Cold" named Elias as one of the guys he'd like to face if he ever comes out of retirement, which could mean that he's going to show up and confront Elias during his live performance this coming Sunday night.
As mentioned in the intro, WWE is trying to figure out a role for Steve Austin at WrestleMania 35, and him coming out and hitting Elias with a "Stone Cold Stunner" would definitely be a memorable moment. Sure, it might not do much for Elias, but it's possible that WWE could be thinking that him simply just being in the ring with a legend like Austin will be enough to take him to the next level.
Of all the possible scenarios, this would give Steve Austin a chance to make the biggest impact possible, and on top of that, it could set up a future match if he ever changes his mind about coming out of retirement.
