The episode of Monday Night Raw that aired on October 22, 2018, will forever be remembered as an emotional ride from start to finish.

This was the night Roman Reigns relinquished his Universal Championship and left the WWE to battle illness. By the end of the night, Rollins and Ambrose had become Tag Team Champions, followed by Ambrose's shocking attack on The Architect.

As Roman opened the show, he was met with his weekly dose of boos. The fans inside the arena didn't have any idea about the announcement he was about to make.

As soon as they realized that Roman had been diagnosed with leukemia again, the arena went into silence, followed by a sea of cheers for the courageous superstar who was leaving the company for an indefinite amount of time.

As Roman prepared to leave, his Shield brothers joined him on the ramp for one final pose before he departed, leading to the fans chanting Roman's name in an incredibly rare moment.
