He lost the title to AJ Styles just before AJ Styles but established himself as one of the top names on the land of opportunity. His alliance with the Singh Brothers made him more relevant than ever.

The Indian origin superstar also won the United States Championship at WrestleMania 34 before he was drafted to RAW in the Superstar Shake-up. This move led to a downfall in Jinder's career as he no longer is the superstar he once was. He has been reduced to a jobber on RAW losing matches every week.

His inability to have a good feud with Roman Reigns is alleged to be the reason why WWE have brought back his Shanti gimmick.
