A recent report suggested that WWE has been noticing the fan backlash on social media, surrounding the decision of Corbin being Angle's opponent at the Show of Shows.

The report further suggests that in spite of all the backlash, WWE is hell-bent on going along with the original plan.
This is where it looks like a swerve. The company would not book a match for WrestleMania, knowing full well that it wouldn't receive the kind of reaction Kurt Angle deserves on his way out of WWE.
WWE did this with Batista and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30, and it's going to happen again with Corbin. WWE knew that pitting Batista against Randy Orton in the main event of the show would result in massive fan backlash.

A last-minute swerve will see Baron Corbin getting replaced by someone that the fans actually want.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
