#2 Good idea: It's a new challenger for Kofi
Since capturing the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35, Kofi Kingston has defended his title against all comers. The night after he won the title at the Show of Shows, the New Day star defended against Universal Champion Seth Rollins and has since defended against the likes of Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton.
After defeating Orton clean at Clash of Champions, in a rematch of their SummerSlam contest, Kofi was presumably on the hunt for a new challenger. Though he could have had one more match against the 13-time World Champion, this could have faced serious backlash from fans who have grown tired of the feud.
For all his great feuds over his eleven years on the main roster, Lesnar and Kofi have never engaged in a proper war. Though they have faced before (WWE's Best in the East Network special in 2015), Kofi is a much different competitor to the man Lesnar crushed in Japan four years ago and will be looking to prove himself as a true main event star by toppling the Beast Incarnate
