Jey Uso had the chance to capture his first singles title in WWE during the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. He challenged Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship in the main event.

During the closing moments of the match, Jey Uso delivered a devastating Spear to Bron through the ringside barricade, followed by another one inside the ring. He then hit a Splash and secured a shocking victory, becoming the new Intercontinental Champion. This win broke Jey’s streak of losses in singles title matches, as he finally claimed the gold in his seventh attempt.

Here are three possible reasons why Bron Breakker lost the Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night RAW.

#3. Character development

Bron Breakker has been on a dominant run since arriving on the main roster. He quickly rose to the top by becoming the Intercontinental Champion at SummerSlam.

However, despite his dominance, he has faltered several times. He was the favorite in his match against Sami Zayn at Money in the Bank and his bout against Jey Uso on this week's RAW. Despite controlling most of the action, he failed to secure the win in both instances.

One of the main reasons for this has been his overconfidence. WWE seems to have been emphasizing this trait, which Breakker will need to rectify soon. He will need to become more ruthless to move forward, and all signs indicate that he will become even more dominant.

#2. Transition into the main event scene

Bron Breakker was destined for success since he arrived on the main roster. The former NXT Champion quickly got over with the fans, and his rise to becoming Intercontinental Champion in such a short time was no surprise.

Given Breakker's maturity in the ring, WWE may have bigger plans for him moving forward. One of the main reasons he may have lost his title to Jey Uso could be to elevate him into the World Heavyweight Championship picture on Monday Night RAW.

Breakker possesses all the tools to become a future world champion and the face of the company. It wouldn't be shocking to see him feuding with Gunther for the world title in the coming months.

#1. Bron Breakker might get his moment at WWE Bad Blood

WWE's upcoming Premium Live Event, Bad Blood, is set to take place on October 5, 2024, at the State Farm Arena in Bron Breakker's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. While he isn't currently scheduled to perform at the highly anticipated event, that may change following recent developments on RAW.

After losing the Intercontinental Championship to Jey Uso just a month after winning it, Breakker is unlikely to take the loss lightly. He'll be eager to reclaim his title, which could lead to a rematch at Bad Blood.

This would get Breakker featured at the PLE in his hometown and give him a massive moment to win back the Intercontinental Championship in front of his friends, family, and fans.
