Drew McIntyre will return to Monday Night RAW next week following a two-week hiatus. The last time he showed up in WWE was at Bad Blood on October 5, when he lost to CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell Match.
It is unclear what The Scottish Warrior will do when he returns to the red brand or whether he will address his loss to The Best in the World, but it is also likely that he will come to announce that he will leave the Monday Night show to move to SmackDown.
This will be a surprising move, but we shouldn't rule it out. In this article, we look at three reasons why the former World Heavyweight Champion should move to the blue brand.

#3. Potentially turning babyface
Drew McIntyre has been a heel for a very long time. He did a great job as a heel during his feud with Seth Rollins en route to their title match at WrestleMania 40 and his nine-month rivalry with CM Punk.
Moving to SmackDown could open the way for new storylines against top babyfaces, like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and LA Knight. Meanwhile, if he re-ignites his feud with Solo Sikoa and Bloodline 2.0, he could turn face in the process, aligning with Team Roman at Survivor Series in late November. A face turn would create new storylines for The Scottish Warrior on SmackDown.
#2. To re-ignite his feud with Solo Sikoa
Drew McIntyre has unfinished business with Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline. It was Sikoa's WWE debut at Clash at The Castle in September 2022 that cost The Scottish Warrior the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns.
A move to SmackDown could re-ignite the feud with Solo, as Drew McIntyre could go after the new Tribal Chief and Bloodline 2.0, seeking revenge. On this occasion, he will need to have a face turn, as Sikoa has emerged as a top heel on SmackDown.
And with Roman Reigns set to move on to a rivalry with The Rock and a title rematch with Cody Rhodes, WWE could pursue a Drew McIntyre vs. Solo Sikoa feud after the Survivor Series.
#1. Not much left for Drew McIntyre to accomplish on RAW
The former World Heavyweight Champion has done a great job either as face or heel on RAW, but there hasn't been much to accomplish on the red brand at the moment.
Following his loss to Damian Priest at WrestleMania 40, just a few minutes after becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion, and his rivalry with CM Punk, which ended with a loss at Bad Blood, there seems to be no direction for The Scottish Warrior.
Drew McIntyre doesn't seem to be in line for a title shot against Gunther, as CM Punk and Damian Priest could be the next ones to challenge The Ring General. At the same time, WWE doesn't have plans for him to go after Jey Uso for the Intercontinental Championship.
Instead, a move to SmackDown would see him go after the top face in the business, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, while he could re-ignite his feud with Roman Reigns, just a couple of years after the two collided for the Universal Championship.
