It's hard to think of many stars on SmackDown who are in a prime position to dethrone Roman Reigns. Kevin Owens was a good Superstar for him to feud with, but Edge is a WrestleMania-worthy opponent.
Not just that, but Edge is a name who is big enough to dethrone Roman Reigns and win the Universal Champion. While Roman Reigns defeating Edge wouldn't be a bad outcome either, it makes sense, and it would be a good WrestleMania moment to see Edge win the World title from him.
