#4 Should not happen - Goldberg already lost his WWE Championship match earlier this year
Goldberg already had a major rivalry earlier this year against a top WWE RAW Superstar. Goldberg returned to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship, and the two met in a match at the 2021 Royal Rumble.
While the veteran tried his best, he could not put away The Scottish Warrior at Royal Rumble. The match allowed McIntyre to get a good push and cement himself as the face of RAW.
Goldberg has already returned to take on top champions for the title several times over the past few years. He was defeated by Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36 for the Universal Championship before that.
Bringing Goldberg back for another title match for no reason or backstory could damage RAW’s already criticized booking capabilities. Since the veteran already lost his WWE Championship match earlier this year, he does not deserve another shot at the title without proving himself.
Instead, WWE could look to build some existing superstars on the roster to bring them to Lashley’s level. This will provide the company a chance to build some better challengers and storylines.
