Logan Paul has a massive task ahead of him at WWE SummerSlam as he is set to defend the United States Championship against LA Knight, and Jake Paul could also be present. However, the YouTuber could have a different name and character if he appears.

On the July 26, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown, Logan Paul shared in a backstage segment that "Mr. Cleveland" will have a hometown surprise for him at SummerSlam, which is all set to take place at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. It's still unknown who is behind the moniker, but many believe it could be the United States Champion's brother, Jake Paul. Interestingly, there may be a few reasons why he should be the mystery character.

In this list, we will look at three reasons why Jake Paul should be Mr. Cleveland at WWE SummerSlam 2024.

#3. Logan Paul wouldn't let the nickname be out of the Paul lineage

Mr. Cleveland is a big title to bestow on someone, as many legendary names in sports came from the city, the most notable being LeBron James. Due to the prestige the nickname holds, it wouldn't be a wonder if the US Champion ensures he is still linked with the moniker.

For the upcoming WWE SummerSlam event, or even the shows before the premium live event, Logan could state that the nickname is only deserving of somebody like Paul. However, since he couldn't use it on him, he chose Jake Paul instead. In this way, the brothers could also generate heat by belittling other Cleveland athletes.

#2. Jake Paul could help generate buzz for SummerSlam

WWE SummerSlam is one of the biggest wrestling events of the year and will feature stars like CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and more. However, it won't hurt to ensure that the event also breakthroughs through mainstream media.

WWE has featured more content creators since Logan joined the company; among them were KSI and IShowSpeed. For the upcoming premium live event, the presence of Jake Paul could help generate buzz in mainstream media and might even get the event trending.

#1. This could be a way to bring in well-known athletes from Cleveland

As mentioned above, several well-known athletes came from Cleveland, Ohio. Jake being announced as Mr. Cleveland could be frowned upon by one of them, opening a possibility that a mainstream name could also appear and attack the Paul brothers for what they did.

WWE inviting hometown athletes and taking part in the action is not new and has been done several times. At WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, the city's very own Jason Kelce and the Philadelphia Eagles' Lane Johnson helped the Latino World Order take the victory.
