Logan Paul surprisingly announced that he has retired from wrestling and will not appear in WWE again. During the latest episode of his Impaulsive podcast, the former United States Champion revealed his decision to step aside and move on from wrestling.

"No, I’m retired. I’m a dad, bro," Logan said about a WrestleMania 41 appearance. [H/T Wrestling Headlines]

As WWE has yet to address Paul's announcement and whether it's true, we look at three reasons why the former champion made that decision.

#3. He wanted to spend more time with his family

The former United States Champion became a father when his fiancée, Nina Agdal, gave birth to a baby girl back in September. Logan Paul mentioned being a dad as one of the reasons for his retirement, as he wants to spend more time with his family.

Being a WWE Superstar makes it challenging for wrestlers to have enough time with their families as they must be on the road for the majority of the year to appear at house shows, premium live events, and the main roster shows (RAW and SmackDown).

Thus, it wouldn't come as a surprise that this was the main reason for Logan's retirement and that he wanted to see his wife and daughter more.

#2. WWE might have no interest in bringing him back amid recent controversies

Logan Paul has become famous and a millionaire through his YouTube channel. However, he has been involved in many controversies over the past few months.

One of them is his Prime energy drink. According to Business Insider, in 2023, Refresco, a bottle supplier, sued Logan Paul and his company for breach of contract.

To make matters worse, Paul launched a platform where people could make money through cryptocurrency, but investors eventually sued him for misleading them and wanted their money back.

Such incidents might have been enough for WWE not to bring him back, at least for the time being.

#1. Logan Paul could want to generate buzz for his WWE return

Logan Paul remains under contract with WWE and there is a chance that his retirement announcement is a work and he will eventually make his return soon.

The former United States Champion could want to generate more buzz for his comeback to the business, and that's why he made the announcement. With the Royal Rumble less than two months away (February 1), Paul could show up as a surprise entrant, making his comeback there.

At the same time, he shared his desire to face John Cena. With the latter kicking off his retirement tour on the RAW premiere on Netflix on January 6, Logan Paul should eventually appear and take on the Cenation Leader.

This dream match could take place at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas if Cena doesn't have a title match there, or another PLE in 2025, as the 16-time World Champion will retire in a year from now.
