#4. Why The New Day shouldn't: It keeps the door open for a future reunion with Big E
In 2020, WWE finally pulled the trigger on The New Day's split and divided the group across two different brands. As part of the Draft, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were sent to RAW, as Big E remained on the SmackDown roster.
While WWE avoided having to split The New Day by having them turn on each other, the group hasn't been seen together on weekly television for a while. But given that Big E has been receiving a singles babyface push on the blue brand, WWE has kept the door open to a potential New Day reunion down the road.
Since splitting away from The New Day, Big E has captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship but the WWE Universe is waiting for the Universal title to be wrapped around Big E's waist.
While Big E admitted in the past that fans had gotten used to seeing the same side of The New Day, the former Intercontinental Champion did admit that the group had a lot to offer. With a potential reunion, The New Day could implement those ideas in the future.
