#2 Why we wouldn't - Without Goldberg, the rest of the roster has a chance to shine
Goldberg has been making appearances for WWE on a part-time basis, and it will likely be the same case again this time around, if he is to return.
It is known, within WWE circles, that talent can be a little frustrated with so-called part-timers taking their spots. Full time WWE stars work 300+ days a year, putting their bodies on the line to earn the opportunities that someone like Goldberg can just walk in and take.
Of course, we want to see all of the WWE superstars get their moment in the sun. For somebody such as Goldberg, re-entering the fray can certainly hinder a talent and potentially push them out of key spots on the card.
For example, if Goldberg is to come back and challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship then that would immediately push one of the RAW superstars down the pecking order.
#1 Why we would - Goldberg brings the nostalgia
No matter what kind of wrestling fan you ever talk with, they all love some nostalgia when it comes to their wrestling.
Whether you're pining to relive the Attitude Era, or craving some hardcore action and wanting ECW to be resurrected, it is something we all love that brings us those good feels.
The exact same thing happens with Goldberg. Simply because of his historical run with WCW that peaked during the war with Monday Night RAW every Monday night during the late 90's. Goldberg was a huge hit and fans want to relive his glory through 2021 lenses.
Goldberg brings that nostalgia with his unique entrance. Emerging from the locker room with the camera following his walk to the ring, to his simplified moveset of the Spear and Jackhammer.
All in all, if Goldberg is to return imminently, everything that he has done for the business has earned the WWE Universe's respect no matter what path he chooses next.
