#1 To save The Fiend for a big pay-per-view like Royal Rumble
The Fiend and Daniel Bryan already locked horns at Survivor Series, which is known as one of the big four pay-per-views. Even though Bryan manifested grit and determination against The Fiend, the latter proved too much for the 5-time WWE Champion. Since Bray Wyatt will take on The Miz at TLC, the rematch between Bryan and The Fiend should take place at the first pay-per-view of the new year, Royal Rumble.
Royal Rumble is also considered one of the biggest events of the year, as it is a stepping stone towards WrestleMania. A number of colossal battles took place at Royal Rumble, and the Universal Championship match between The Fiend and Daniel Bryan would be a notable addition to the event.
Bryan could go through a huge character change, hinting it on SmackDown two weeks ago, when he was sabotaged by The Fiend. A helpless Bryan was dragged under the ring by The Fiend, and had his hair pulled out, suggesting a possible new look for Bryan. If Bryan rejuvenates himself and comes back with new tenacity and a brand new look, Royal Rumble could be an ideal place to make a return to the squared circle, and the Universal Championship rematch could turn out to be a monumental bout.
