The Beast Brock Lesnar returned to SmackDown Live last week and challenged Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. Since then, fans have been speculating as to whether or not he will win the title. As per reports, the odds are in favor of The Beast winning the WWE Championship.
However, we never know when Vince McMahon will pull the trigger and do the unthinkable, which, in this case, is by allowing Kingston to beat Lesnar to retain his title.

#5 Why he will win the WWE Championship: A great start for the premiere of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX
SmackDown Live is moving to FOX next month. Fans are excited about this move as it guarantees that SmackDown would no longer be known as the "B Show" in WWE. Instead, it will debut on the network with a fresh start and Lesnar's return to the show is proof of it.
The former Universal Champion hasn't wrestled on the blue brand since 2004. He is now going to return to face Kofi Kingston at the show's debut on FOX. His return has already made Friday Night SmackDown’s premiere seem like a big deal and who knows? Perhaps that's the way WWE wants to proceed with it.
Lesnar winning the title will give a new start to SmackDown, and give it a "legit sports feel, which is one of the reasons why The Beast Incarnate has returned to the show as per Wrestling Observer Newsletter. But the real question is, do the fans want to see this?

#4 Why Vince McMahon will not let him win the title: Fan backlash could hurt WWE in return
When Lesnar won the Universal Championship, the majority of the fans were unhappy. They wanted to see a full-time champion in WWE but since Lesnar was the Champion at that time, he rarely defended his title, which didn’t leave fans happy.
When he lost the title to Roman Reigns, fans had mixed reactions. Reigns wasn't over with the crowd at that time but coincidentally, fans were happy they finally got a full-time competitor who would defend the title every now and then.
But when The Big Dog was diagnosed with leukemia, WWE handed the title back to Lesnar and he held it until Seth Rollins defeated him. Everything was going great until Lesnar regained the title by cashing in the Money in the Bank contract but since The Beastslayer has the belt again, things are normal in WWE.
The timeline we shared above tells us how upset the fans were whenever Lesnar wore the Championship around his waist. Since SmackDown is jumping ship to FOX (from the USA Network), we should expect WWE to do things our way instead of theirs. And because the fans want regular title defenses to happen, Lesnar may not get his hands on the title again.
#3 Why he will win the WWE Championship: Brock Lensar is the biggest Superstar in the company
Brock Lesnar is currently the biggest Superstar in WWE right now. John Cena isn't active in WWE anymore and neither is Ronda Rousey, which leaves us with Lesnar.
Even though Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are the top dogs in the company, we can't compare them to Lesnar. The Beast is one of the most popular Superstars in WWE and his MMA run only increases his credibility. Since SmackDown will be a more sports-oriented show, it makes sense for Lesnar to win the WWE Championship.
FOX will also pay a billion dollars to WWE for their 5-year partnership which means that Lesnar might wrestle a few more matches this year as champion. If this is going to be the case, then we don't think the WWE Universe wouldn't accept him as the champion.
#2 Why Vince McMahon will not let him win the title: The Fiend vs Brock Lesnar
Let's think beyond Brock Lesnar vs Kofi Kingston. On Monday Night Raw, we have Seth Rollins feuding with "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship. Both Superstars will slug it out at Hell in a Cell, a match where Rollins is likely going to lose his Championship.
After Hell in a Cell, WWE will host Survivor Series where the traditional Champion vs Champion matches will also take place. Considering both The Fiend and Brock Lesnar will defeat their rivals for their title, we are likely going to see a match between them at Survivor Series.
Wyatt is the hottest Superstar in WWE right now, and it means that Vince wouldn't allow someone to beat him this early. At the same time, Lesnar also can't afford to lose against The Fiend as this will severely hurt his credibility going forward.
If this is going to be the case then either Wyatt will lose against Rollins or Lesnar will lose against Kingston. Considering how things are working out in WWE today, The Fiend is likely to become the Universal Champion. And in that case, Lesnar may not become the WWE Champion.
#1 Why he will win the WWE Championship: He has already lost multiple times this year
Brock Lesnar lost his Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35. Then he won it again before losing it back to Seth Rollins. These two losses have hurt Lesnar a lot more than the past few years combined because Rollins also beat Lesnar clean at SummerSlam 2019.
Whenever Lesnar returns to WWE, he creates havoc in the ring. This time, he attacked Kofi Kingston and it doesn’t seem like he’ll lose to the latter.
The betting odds are also in The Beast's favor and since it was Vince McMahon's call to bring Lesnar back to SmackDown, he may not let him lose this match. No offense to Kingston, but if he beat Lesnar (presumably clean since he is a babyface), it would damage the former Universal Champion's credibility forever.
And since Lesnar has lost a few times this year already, losing another match doesn't make much sense. Talking about Survivor Series' Champion vs Champion match, it wouldn't surprise us if The Fiend loses his match via DQ against Rollins as he did during a recent live event. This way, he could confirm himself a ticket to WrestleMania (or Royal Rumble) where he will win the title.
