#2 SHOULD: The Universal Championship is the top title and that warrants a main event spot
If this is indeed the match to close the upcoming Wrestlemania, then one reason it should is because the Universal Title is supposed to be the top title in the company. Since it's the top title on the alleged top show in the company, whoever holds it should be defending it in the main event of the biggest show of the year.
It has only been used in the main event of last year's 'mania show when Brock retained against Roman Reigns. If we're to respect the title as the top one in the company, then it warrants the go-home slot of the show.
Some may consider the WWE Championship to be the top title in the company, and in many ways, it is. It's been around a lot longer than the Universal Championship and it's holders actually defend it year round and not sporadically.
It has also been featured in four of the last six main events of Wrestlemanias. While that is something that was going to be rectified with Roman's run, it ended prematurely after two months.
It needs to be consistently defended throughout the year at the biggest shows. Then it will get the respect the WWE wants it to have.
